In October of 2006, I first brought Asher to Great Companions. Asher was a 7 year old foster failure, pulled from a local humane society. His behavioral issues were severe enough to make him unadopatable, so I kept him. While working on his behavior with Ali, we discovered how much Asher loved to learn new things. Both Asher and I enjoyed our private lessons so much that we continued to take classes.
When a slipped disc kept Ash from taking agility classes, Ali suggested Rally Obedience. We took all 3 levels of of Rally clsses at Great Companions. Finally, in September of 2008 we trialed for the first time and Asher earned his RL1. We were hooked and have been trialing and continuing to take classes ever since.
On November 28th, 2010, Asher earned his ARCHEX. I suppose that is a big accomplishment for any dog, but for Asher, a dog that has faced euthanasia on several occasions, it is huge. To me, an even bigger accomplishment is how taking classes at Great Companions has transformed our relationship. Asher went from being an unadoptable, unwanted foster dog to my partner and heart dog.
Thank you Ali, for all your support and guidance.
